The ICAN framework—Involvement, Consistency, Awareness, and Nurturance: Main theme of ICAN: fatherhood is a journey that requires intentionality, learning, and heart. • Involvement: Whether you’re a corporate dad, a school-going child’s father or in a broader community, spending time with our kids is invaluable. The memories we create during even the simplest moments will last a lifetime. • Consistency: Fatherhood is about being dependable and predictable. Across all three sessions, the importance of showing up daily for our children and aligning with our spouses stood out. • Awareness: Fathers were challenged to better understand their children's world—by asking meaningful questions, listening more, and being present in the moment. It’s not just about the time we give but how we use that time. • Nurturance: Affirming our children through love, encouragement, and patience is key to building their confidence and resilience.
